ECHOES / THIRD PERSON GAME
Echoes is my very first dive into the world of third-person games, after a few creative experiments in virtual reality. This project has been a personal playground — a space where I’ve explored every part of the process myself: from sculpting the island landscape and designing the main characters, to coding core systems like the main menu, mini-map, character selection, and movement mechanics.
As development evolved, I began building new gameplay elements through custom widgets to add more depth and goals to the journey. Players now explore the island in search of 10 hidden clues needed to activate the ancient door that leads to the final ritual scene inside the witches' cave.
At its heart, Echoes remains a calm, atmospheric exploration game. You awaken, lost and alone, on a mysterious island, with no dialogue, no distractions — only the environment to guide you forward. Every step brings you closer to the island’s hidden truths.
If you're curious about how it all came together, I’ve put together a Making Of that walks through the entire creative process — from early sketches and world-building to the final gameplay systems.
Quick note: halfway through development, I actually broke the entire project and had to rebuild it from scratch — but honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened.
The new version is even stronger, and it taught me more than any tutorial ever could. That's just part of the journey!
The game is still a work in progress, but I’m excited to share it with you on Steam very soon.
